WoodShed (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a music-practice app
published by Mountain Melody Hideaway, LLC. We built WoodShed to respect your
privacy: your audio and recordings stay on your device, and the only data we collect is anonymous
usage analytics to help us improve the app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the
choices you have.
Information we collect
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to
understand how the app is used — for example, which screens are viewed and which features
(import, stem separation, recording, export, looping, tempo changes) are used. To do this, the
Firebase SDK automatically collects an app-instance identifier and basic
device and diagnostic data (such as device model and operating-system version).
This data is used only for analytics, is not linked to your identity,
and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
Microphone and audio — stays on your device. WoodShed uses the
microphone for the chromatic tuner and to record your practice takes. Imported tracks, recordings,
and all audio we process (stem separation, tempo and pitch changes, beat detection) are stored and
processed entirely on your device. We do not upload, collect, or
have access to your microphone input, recordings, or imported files.
Purchases. WoodShed offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full app.
Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not
receive or store your payment information.
Feedback you send. If you use the in-app feedback option, the message you write
— plus an optional reply-to email address and basic app diagnostics (app version and
operating-system version) — is sent to us so we can respond. This is collected only if you
choose to contact us.
No account. WoodShed has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for or collect your
name, email, or contacts (other than an optional email you choose to provide with feedback).
How we use information
To understand usage and improve the app (analytics).
To respond to feedback or support requests you send us.
To deliver the one-time unlock you purchase (via Apple).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your
data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Service providers
Google (Firebase Analytics) processes the anonymous usage analytics described
above on our behalf.
Apple processes your in-app purchase.
Microsoft Azure hosts the audio-processing models and the sample track that the
app downloads on demand. These downloads do not include any personal information
about you.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics are retained according to Firebase’s default retention settings. Audio,
recordings, projects, and app settings stored on your device remain there until you delete them or
remove the app.
Your choices
Because analytics are not tied to your identity, there is no account to manage. You can stop all
analytics collection at any time by deleting the app, and you can delete your on-device projects and
recordings within the app. If you have questions or requests about your data, contact us at the

Children’s privacy
WoodShed is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated”
date at the top of this page.
